Method for quickly identifying faults of solar street lamps

The basic principle of solar street light is relatively primary, that is, a process of absorbing and releasing energy. Solar panels store light energy during the day and convert it into electrical energy. At night, the battery releases energy to power the lamp head. This process is repeated every day. If the solar street lamp fails, such as the lighting time of the light bulb becomes shorter and the light bulb cannot be turned on, how can we quickly identify the cause of the failure?

First of all, we need to know whether the lighting time of solar street lights is short or not. If the lighting time is short, it means that there is a problem with the configuration of the solar lamp or the voltage of the battery board is insufficient. The reason may be that the unreasonable configuration of the lamp is relatively small, or there may be a thick layer of dust attached to the battery board Areas near the river are more common. The lighting time of the lamp in winter is very short, and the continuous cloudy day is short. In this case, wipe the battery board to clean it, and deal with it according to the degree of adhesion.

The second fault is not bright, the light is not bright, the situation is concentrated on the controller is broken or the battery is broken, the damage of the LED street lamp head and the battery board is less, if the controller has problems, the investigation method is that we use a voltmeter to Measure the voltage of the battery board. If the battery voltage is higher than 12V during sunny day, it means that there is no problem with the battery board. If the battery voltage is higher than 10v, it means that the battery is normal, we can consider replacing it with a new controller to check. After replacement, it can illuminate in one or two natural days. This is a problem with the controller. Generally, the situation where the battery board and the battery are not bright is relatively small. If we measure the battery voltage below 10v during the day, then we need to check whether the battery wiring is well connected. If the wiring is intact, the voltage of the solar panel is still very low, which may be the problem of the panel, but most cases are concentrated on the battery. The battery voltage is lower than 10v. The first option is the problem that the controller has a fault that causes the battery to be insufficiently discharged and cannot be filled in time. Secondly, the quality of the battery is poor, and long-term use will cause excessive internal charging and discharging.

In short, if the solar street light is not lit, we should consider replacing the controller. If we find that the light bulb has not been turned on for a long time, we recommend replacing the battery (can not turn on for a long time, the battery is probably damaged).
